why in the name of heaven aplot similar to the circular staircase with inane and bland moments.no mystery and much of tomfoolery
Cornelia Van Gorder finally makes an appearance in this story that is remarkably similar to The Circular Staircase. There is the bank failure, Jack Bailey posing as a gardener, The country house, the secret room, ect. The list goes on and on. But for all of that it is still an entertaining mystery that has enough originality to leave you guessing for a while.
