About the Author

I believe growing up in a bilingual household of German immigrants presented me with an inherent interest in history. Engaging students with a specific learning objective was always my goal as a teacher. Through the decades, I realized that history texts were meant to warehouse history, not allowing it to breathe. That is now my mission--bring history to life for young adults with engaging fiction steeped in the actual historical record of the book's plot. I hope you find them as enjoyable to read as I found them to write.
