About the Author

An avid lover of fantasy and good storytelling, David Rauenzahn always turned to the works of art, music, writing, and cinema that moved him deeply in his search for meaning and solace. He graduated with a degree in Religious Studies from Reed College, during which time he focused on mysticism in an attempt to glean some insight about his own life. While this education gave context and understanding for many spiritual and religious traditions, it was only when he committed to writing that he found a meaningful way forward towards self-understanding. David currently lives in Portland, OR, where he practices kriya yoga, plays music, works in schools, and writes as much as he can, once he overcomes analysis paralysis.
