About the Author

I am person who used to enjoy late nights, hanging around in bars, when working 9-5, but have become surprisingly physically active since taking up writing. It is the most demanding work I have ever done, and exhausting like nothing else. So, bars and nightlife are quite rare - a trip to meet the old crowd - and cycling and walking, to refresh the head, now feature as the main activities in my time off. A beer to work with is the treat, and I am always promising myself a break between novels. But, as someone has said, this job is like having homework every single night for the rest of your life. After publishing the last book, a couple of weeks back, I did not get even one day off.
