About the Author

Author Jay Aston is the son of a coal miner, born in Sheffield UK. He spent his early years growing up in the coal-mining villages. A rich tapestry of down-to-earth life epitomizes the writing style with geunine characters with genuine voices. My writing is an expression of part of the life in the north of England.
I enjoy everything nostalgic, classic cars, period properties, heritage steam railways and themed retro weekends requiring authentic dress code. I enjoy gardening which is both therapeutic and pleasing to the eye. I am now retired and can at last devote more time to my passion of writing evocative storylines.
