Port Starbird

I live in upstate New York (the 96% of the state that isn't NYC or Long Island), where my wife and I serve as housekeeping staff for spoiled dogs. I have graduate degrees in biology and computer science. After a career that ranged from testing experimental drugs (legal ones, and not on myself!) to developing computer operating system software, I decided to try my hand at writing fiction. I lived in coastal North Carolina for a while, and the current focus of my writing is a place that's very special to me, the Outer Banks islands of North Carolina, which I still visit as often as possible.
