About the Author

I'm a US Army veteran, basketball enthusiast, family man, and the author of Suit to Saddle, a story of my cycling journey from California to Florida.  After a seven-year stint serving in the US Army and a twenty-eight-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, I stepped away from corporate life and cycled into the heart of America.  A wise man once said, "If you dig it, do it.  If you dig it a lot, do it again"-Jim Croce.  So that's what I did.  I entered the 4,200-mile Trans Am Bike Race from Oregon to Virginia.  I find inspiration in writing my second book about racing over the Rocky Mountains, pedaling on endless Kansas roads to the Yorktown Victory Monument in, Forty to Finish, at our family cabin on Torch Lake, Michigan.  If I'm not at Torch, I enjoy spending time with my family in New Jersey.
