Peter Rowlands is a Londoner by instinct (he’s lived there for many years), but he was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, in north-east England. He has published five mystery thrillers so far, four of which are loosely connected under the banner ‘The Mike Stanhope Mysteries’, though they also work as stand-alones. The first of these, Alternative Outcome, has over a hundred positive Amazon reviews worldwide, with a rating of 4.3. The next Mike Stanhope mystery is due for publication soon.
Distinctive features of Peter’s writing include vivid characters, natural dialogue, intricate plot lines and frequent surprises. The leading characters are ordinary people pitched into stressful and demanding situations, and the books often have a strong romantic back story. They tend to be set in London, but the action usually ranges over various locations, and there is usually a strong sense of location.
Peter has edited, published and contributed to a range of business magazines in the fields of information technology, logistics, and transportation, and frequently has photographs published in the bus press.
