About the Author

Glenroy Bent was born in the Island of Jamaica, and grew up in the U.S. As a child he enjoyed listening to the older folks telling stories. He imagined one day he would tell stories and hope it would bring enjoyment. He received a Bachelor's degree in Drama, from the University of Potsdam, New York. He’s a lyricist and writes poems. He co-authored “The Sun puts on its nightgown”, with his wife Kizie. He has a passion for teaching children, as he also taught in the public schools. He believes the key to life is to "share what you know, with the world, and if we can learn from each other we can achieve much greater".

Kizie Quintyne-Bent was born in the Island of Trinidad, at the age of thirteen she migrated to the U.S. She is a wife and mother of two children. She has a master's degree in communication disorders. She is also a singer and a choir director. She is the co-author of “The Sun puts on its nightgown”, with her husband Glenroy. she delights in the education and development of children. Over the years she has seen and helped so many children with speech disorders, such as Autism, and the developmentally delayed. Kizie's favorite color is turquoise, and she enjoys shopping online. Her favorite restaurant is the cheesecake factory, and she hopes to visit Paris one day.
