Richard McCartney is, some would say, someone who is always in the middle of something. He is in the middle of life, with a middle age spread to show for it, and always in the middle of helping authors promote their books.
He lives in The Netherlands with his wife and three daughters, and his only male companion is his Jack Russell who he sits in front of the TV screen to keep him company while watching football (since nobody else in the house is interested).
Beyond that he will not be drawn. Who reads these biographies, anyway? Readers just want to get on with reading the book, and not wade through pages about an author trying to convince others that he is cool and sophisticated, or highly skilled at something.
