Mark Spivak is an award-winning writer and political junkie who loves turning his fascination with the seamy underbelly of the American political system into taut, page-turning thrillers. Spivak is the author of two nonfiction books (2012's Iconic Spirits: An Intoxicating History and 2014's Moonshine Nation: The Art of Creating Cornbread in a Bottle) and one novel (2016's Friend of the Devil). He is currently writing a sequel to The American Crusade, tentatively titled Impeachment. Spivak lives in Florida with his wife and his imaginary friends.
