About the Author

After nearly forty years working in finance in the City of London, he retired early to pursue his long held ambition to write novels. He lives in Essex with his wife Lin. He also spends long periods in Cornwall where the restless seas and wild coast line provide inspiration for many stories, just as they did for Daphne du Maurier.

To kick start his writing career he completed an MA in Crime and Thriller writing at City University London. At the time this course was the only creative writing MA in the UK which focused on commercial crime fiction. His first novel The Last Messenger was submitted to complete the MA. It is a story which evolved from a novel collecting dust in his desk drawer for over twenty years. Despite praise for the strength of his writing style, literary agents advised that there was no longer a demand for conspiracy thrillers. Therefore, it is with a streak of bloody minded and perhaps misguided optimism that he's brought this book to the market himself.

The second book in the series : The Barnabas Legacy is already in progress. If you would like to ask any questions please contact him via his website.
